How to delete a topo

To delete a topo you created, go to the Topo view and click the Edit (pencil icon on the app) button on the right. The delete option will appear there — but only if the topo is completely empty.

Why you might not see the delete option

1. The topo still has content  - Routes, images, and other information must be removed before you can delete a topo. Move any useful content to another topo first, or delete it if it's incorrect or no longer needed. Once the topo is empty, the delete option will appear.

Note: content added after September 2025 can be deleted by anyone. For content added before September 2025, only the person who added it can delete it.

2. A route has ascents logged -  Routes with logged ascents can't be deleted. In this case, move the route to the correct topo instead.

3. The topo was created by someone else - You can only delete topos you created yourself — this protects other contributors' work. If you've found a topo with clearly wrong information that should be removed, contact us to support@27crags.com and we'll look into it.
