App Running Slowly on Android After an Update

Performance issues on Android after an update are typically caused by leftover cached data or an outdated local database that didn't update cleanly. A full reinstall clears this and restores normal speed.

How to fix it

  1. Uninstall the 27 Crags app completely from your device

  2. Reinstall the latest version from Google Play

  3. Log back in to your account

After logging in, the app may take up to 2 minutes to initialize the database — this is normal. Once that's done, performance should be back to normal.

Note on Android beta versions

If your phone is running a beta version of Android (e.g. Android 16 Beta), performance issues may occur that are outside our control. We recommend switching to a stable Android release if possible.
